WSSD High School Renewal Project
In a time when families are increasingly concerned about stress, disconnection, and the pressures facing teenagers, Waldorf education offers an approach that cultivates intellectual growth, emotional well-being, creativity, and meaningful human connection. The WSSD High School Renewal Project was created to grow and strengthen our high school while making Waldorf education more accessible to families across San Diego.
As part of this initiative, annual tuition has been reduced from $27,600 to $17,000, with additional Tuition Adjustment support available for qualifying families — often reducing tuition by 50% or more.
Families who enroll during the Renewal Project will also be guaranteed that future tuition increases remain within our historical range of 1–4% annually.
The high school program at The Waldorf School of San Diego combines rigorous academics with experiential, arts-integrated learning designed to support students’ intellectual, social, and emotional development. Through immersive seminar blocks, track classes, and electives, students engage deeply in science, mathematics, humanities, world languages, fine arts, movement, and environmental studies while developing creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and leadership.
The curriculum progresses intentionally through grades 9–12, encouraging students to explore meaningful human questions, cultural perspectives, and their own emerging sense of purpose. Whether students plan to attend college immediately after graduation, pursue vocational or artistic paths, take a gap year, or enter the workforce, the program aims to cultivate adaptable, thoughtful, and capable young adults prepared to engage meaningfully with the wider world.
